Medical Surgical North is a 23 Bed unit. The Medical/Surgical North RN is responsible for the excellent delivery of care to a variety of patients including; pediatric, general surgical, general medical, stroke, orthopedics, and urology. Working within a model of “Safe Patient Family Centered Careâ€, the Medical/Surgical RN collaborates with the Health Care team to develop a plan of care, monitor the effectiveness of that plan, and to assist in the development of a discharge plan to best meet the patient’s and families’ needs. The Medical/Surgical RN works under the direction of the Medical/Surgical North Unit Manager. Minimum Qualifications: Current in the State of Maine as a Registered Professional Nurse. BCLS certification required and ACLS certification is preferred (or attained within 12 months of hire). Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. To qualify for the per diem rate, a minimum of two years relevant experience is required and employee can not be currently employed by the PBH system in a benefited position.
