Location: Caribou, Maine

Description: Cary Medical Center is presently looking of CRNA right now, this vacancy will be delegated in Maine. Cary Medical Center, a dynamic 65-bed acute care hospital in pristine northern Maine, offers a relaxed, highly professional learning environment, where surgical suites have state of the art anesthesia equipment, and CRNAs are encouraged to practice as active independent members of the Anesthesia team.

Cary combines a personal, family approach to care with some of the most advanced medical technology available today. Cases include: limited Thoracic, Orthopedics (including joint replacements), ENT, Urology, General Surgery, and OB.

 Call is one in five

 Average call back is 1 to 2 times per week

 CRNAs are required to be certified in BLS and ACLS, with AANA certification and Maine license

Department Profile:
 5 ORs, 4 of which are used routinely

 Head/heart cases are not performed

 Average number of cases per month is 210 with about 15 births per month

 Minimal trauma

 Hours are typically 6:30 am to 3:00 pm

Percentages:
General surgeries â€" 50%, including eyes and urology

Thoracic â€" 2%

Orthopedics â€" 30%

OB/GYN â€" 15%

Other â€" 3%

Obstetrical anesthesia

Pediatric anesthesia

Thoracic anesthesia, except open heart

Bier block

Ventilation management in OR (establishing and maintaining an airway; various modes of

ventilation

Arterial line

Proficiency in regionals or willingness willing to be trained

Preferred skills:
Epidural

Peripheral nerve block

While the minimun salary for this position is $150,000, on-call compensation averages $16,000.
