Caribou needs an additional OB/Gyn provider! Unlimited potential exists for a BC/BE Obstetrician to join our practice in Caribou, a community that is economically, culturally, and socially inviting. This opportunity has come about due to the growth of the practice.
This opportunity is Full-time: 5 days per week, including one early evening each week on a rotating basis; Saturday morning hours may be considered in the future. Patient profile is newborn to approximately age 18. Call: 1 in 3 rotation. Pediatricians attend all C-sections. The need is immediate but outstanding 2013 CV's will be accepted.
Applicants should be Board Certified or board eligible on defined track to become Board Certified. J-1 candidates can be considered.
The Pines Center for Women’s and Children’s Health is one of five primary care offices located in geographically dispersed communities.
Current staffing includes 3 Obstetricians and 2 Midwives; 3 Pediatricians and 1 Certified Physician Assistant. Details include:
- Approximately 200 deliveries annually
- Anesthesiologist on call at all times at Cary Medical Center
Pines Health Services is a physician practice management organization with 32 physicians and 13 mid-level providers. Pines’ northern Maine locations include Caribou (3 offices), Presque Isle, Limestone and Van Buren. In the Fall of 2007, the practice was designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center, providing enhanced access to health care services for all members of the community, and allowing the practice to employ providers holding H-1B and J-1 visas. Pines received a multi-year New Access Points grant from the Federal government in September 2007. An inaugural electronic, fully integrated electronic medical record system (Success EHS) became operational in 2011.
For over 30 years Pines Health Services has provided care to a service area population numbering about 35,000 people. Pines Health Services has a dedicated, volunteer Board of Directors, and a strong, supportive relationship with Cary Medical Center. Pines providers are active members of Cary’s Medical Staff. Our clinical staff is fully engaged in quality improvement, earning multiple blue ribbons from the Maine Health Alliance. We are a designated preferred provider for State of Maine employees, and have been recognized by Anthem Blue Cross / Blue Shield as a preferred provider based on the demonstrated quality of care provided to our patients.
