Description: Franklin Community Health Network is employing Physical Therapist right now, this job will be placed in Maine. The Licensed Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, treatment and instruction of human beings to detect, assess, prevent, correct, alleviate and limit physical disability, bodily malfunction an! d aid from injury, disease and any other bodily condition; the administration, interpretation and evaluation of tests and measurements of bodily functions and structures for the purpose of treatment planning, administration, evaluation and modification of treatment and instruction; and the use of physical agents and procedures, activities and devices for preventative and therapeutic purposes; and the provision of consultative, educational and other advisory services for the purpose of reducing the incidence and severity of physical disability, bodily malfunction and pain. Patient population consists of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Provides all aspects of care based on standards established by the American Physical Therapy Association. Demonstrates competency in all procedures within scope of practice, as appropriate to the ages of the patients served; the ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patien! ts needs; a knowledge of growth and development and an underst! anding of the range of treatment needed by these patients. The employee must demonstrate competence in the care and treatment of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Conducts in-service programs as requested for hospital personnel in physical therapy techniques and objectives.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy with experience (2-3 years).

Licensure/Certification: State of Maine Physical Therapy License, CPR.
