Job Summary: Coordinates the patient flow and provides therapeutic treatment to adult and pediatric patients in a fast paced environment.
Duties to include, but not limited to: Rotate on linear accel! erators to treat patients Implements a treatment action plan Patient referrals to other care providers such as nursing, social work or nutrition services Works with radiation oncologist, physicists and dosimetrists to compensate for treatment accuracy. Performs routine QC testing of CT equipment and linear accelerators Participation in decision s about appropriate simulation techniques and treatment positions. Patient education Cover doing simulations for time off. May train for other new modalities- ex: HDR, SBRT and SRS Position requires participation in rotation for holidays ,call and extended hours Skills with CBCT required
Education/Experience/Registration requirements: Graduate of CAHEA approved school of radiation oncology Registered by ARRT required. Experience with Mosaiq record and verify system preferred Experience with Varian accelerators beneficial Experience with CBCT required
Other skills required: Good time management and problem solvin! g skills Effective communication skills Excellent customer ser! vice skills Ability to work in a fast paced department with variety of procedures happening simultaneously. Must be able to multitask in an environment with many things happening.
Physical Requirements: Visual acuity, standing or walking 95% of day, 5 % sitting while checking charts or scheduling. Lifting/pulling/ reaching. Computer work.
Working Environment: Fast paced department with variety of procedures happening simultaneously. Must be able to multitask in an environment with many things happening. Experience with Mosaiq record and verify, Varian accelerators beneficial .
