The Barbara Bush Children†s Hospital (BBCH) at Maine Medical Center is currently seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Hospitalist to join their team of experien! ced providers.
The BBCH is a 95 bed tertiary care pediatric hospital within an adult hospital. Maine Medical Center has 637 licensed beds and is the state†s leading tertiary care hospital. Services provided through The BBCH are comprehensive, including a PICU, NICU, dedicated pediatric section in the ED, and a 35 bed Inpatient Unit. The BBCH is fully staffed with all major pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties.
Our board-certified pediatric hospitalists manage hospitalized children with a broad range of acute and chronic conditions, and a mix of general and sub-specialty pediatric diagnoses. The pediatric hospitalists also provide newborn nursery coverage. We currently have a team of six full-time and several part-time Pediatric Hospitalists. Program expansion is underway to increase in-house coverage for patient care and resident supervision purposes. Members of the Pediatric Hospitalist team are integral teaching staff in the Undergraduate and ! Graduate Medical Programs at Maine Medical Center. Academic ap! pointments to Tufts Medical School and Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth are offered. The pediatric hospitalists also participate in key hospital administrative roles and pursue clinical research interests.
