About the Job
Come join an excellent team at Sweetser's School in Saco, Maine working as a PER DIEM Staff Nurse . This position promotes and restores patient's health by pro! viding health care services in a competent manner consistent w! ith parameters of training and licensure.
The Ideal Candidate:
Assures quality care by assuming primary nursing responsibility for the care children ages 5-18 in the Sweetser School. Assists staff pediatrician and consulting psychiatrists and specialists by coordinating their services for assigned residents/clients. Assists staff physicians by implementing orders for care, including medication orders via written and oral communication with staff, using the organization's computer system.
The School at Sweetser in Saco offers an exceptional special education experience for youth, ages 5 to 20, that assists them in overcoming both behavioral and learning impairments. Teacher instruction and educational materials are presented at a level that is developmentally appropriate for peers of similar social, emotional and academic ability. Working with parents and multi-disciplinary teams, teachers develop behavioral and academic goals and objectives which are! measured quarterly. The goal of The School is to help students gain the skills they need in order to return to a public school setting.
