Our client, a leading multinational company in the pharmaceutical industry, is currently seeking to hire a Senior Accountant.
Reporting to the Accounting Department Manager, the right incumbent will be responsible to contribute to the overall success and growth of the organization as a member of the Athens accounting team.
Key responsibilities:
- Active involvement in all accounting processes
- Maintain a wider overview and understanding of accounting tasks and priorities combined with a solid, focused hands-on approach.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements (for all operations, incl. warehouse, and manufacturing)
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- All of the above tasks must be executed to the highest standards in compliance with all local tax and accounting practices and regulations and in accordance with IFRS
Requirements & Skills:
- BSc in Accounting or relevant field
- At least 5 years of accounting and/or auditing experience in a challenging accounting environment
- Prior experience in a pharmaceutical company is considered a plus
- Detail-oriented, proactive mentality & critical thinking
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Very good English literacy – both oral and written skills. PC literate
- Candidates need to be authorized to sign Greek Accounting Statements Class A
- Open to travel to company’s manufacturing plant in Larissa
