Description: MaineGeneral Health is hiring Pulmonary Clinic Therapist/Ast right now, this position will be designated in Maine. The Pulmonary Clinic Therapist/Asthma Educator is responsible for supporting the office practices of the pulmonologist and providing respiratory care in the physician office setting, and is responsible! for providing basic and advanced pulmonary function diagnostic procedures to pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. The Pulmonary Clinic Therapist/Asthma Educator serves as a technical, clinical and educational resource for physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, other healthcare professionals, patients and their families.
Qualifications/Competencies
Current Licenses - Required
- Currently Licensed as Respiratory Therapist by the Maine Board of Respiratory Care Practitioners
- Registered and credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is required Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) required within 1 year of hire · BLS is required within 6 months of hire
Education â€" the level of knowledge usually acqu! ired through completion of:
Associate’s degree â€" Respi! ratory Therapy is preferred
Experience - Preferred
3 years or more of related experience preferred
Other Special Skills â€" Preferred
Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications
